The fitted garment owes its slimming effect to clever color-blocking panels of contoured, colored fabric in the front and back, and stretchy black panels at the sides .The sides black panel which forces the eye to focus only on the contrasting panel,giving the wearer illusion of having a more slender,yet more curvy figure. Hidden back zip and slit at reverse.

Yes, we are excited.

VERY excited as tomorrow, Sunday (1st April 2012) is the official launch of our very FIRST Doublewoot design. It's NO APRIL FOOL!

We name her Dwinell.

Why? Because it has the alphabets D and W and it sounds feminine, like the dress herself. Dwinell is crafted from soft stretchable cotton, designed in quartersleeves, very sophisticated, simple yet refined.
Dwinell is inspired from Victoria Beckhams s/s 12 collection, featuring bold contrasting colors, classic timeless pieces.
We made Dwinell touches slightly below the knee length, as it exudes feminity, with back slit at skirt, and a wide waistband because it creates a slimmer silhouette.
We immediately tried the first piece, it's the green one.
Yes, Dwinell is the perfect design, slimming like how we wanted her to be.
It's time to share with all of you, Dwinell, DOUBLEWOOT's very first self design, it's very important to us, and we hope you will love it like how we do.

What's Coming? As spotted on Amy Adams

Amy Adams was spotted in the Walt Disney Premiere of "THE MUPPETS" in a gorgeous feminine off shoulder duo-tone piece ripped from the Roland Mouret 2012 collection.

The skirt was sleek with a bit of ivory underlining peeking out at the hem while the top was low cut and hung off her shoulders with thick straps. They were really just for design as she had additional grey straps to keep her dress intact.

Her alluring dress was teamed with simple nude Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and statement earrings.

Style Icon : Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham is known around the world as the fashion style icon and Doublewoot find inspirations in her new collection.
On her interview with i-D Magazine, she says
“When I started it was all about the corset dress. That’s what people associated me with, and possibly if I’m honest a sign of my own insecurities as well. But the older I get and the more comfortable I am in my own skin, the more I realize that to look great and feel great I haven’t always got to wear something tight.”

On her design philosophy:

“I’ve stood on many a red carpet and been photographed from every angle, so I know how important it is for a dress to be flattering … I don’t follow fashion and I don’t follow trends, I just follow my instincts and think what do I want to wear? What am I feeling for next season?”

She's just had her fourth child (Harper Seven). She was named Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards last November. And she witnessed her husband, soccer star David Beckham, in his latest foray into the fashion game, launching his own underwear line at H&M. Ms. Beckham designed four separate collections, including the fall 2012 season of her polished ready-to-wear line, her denim label and her newest venture: Victoria, Victoria Beckham.

Shola : Kate Middleton's Favourite Dress

Introducing Shola , another Reiss's design loved by Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of Cambridge sparked a fashion frenzy yesterday, when she chose a £175 Reiss dress to meet Michelle and Barack Obama at Buckingham Palace.

Within minutes the chic Shola taupe creation sold out on the brand’s website, with fashion fans crashing the online store, all clamoring to get their hands on the high street item.

The Reiss website was seemingly down for around two hours as shoppers surged to purchase Kate’s stylish dress.

But brand officials have blamed 'unprecedented traffic' for the event, and promised to get the site up and running – and Kate’s dress back in stock – as quickly as possible.

Stella McCartney , a fashion designer, she has spent 15 years trying to distance herself from the "Beatle's daughter" tag. But the moment I ask her about where her principles come from, all that changes. "The way my parents brought me up to see the world is still absolutely key to what I am about," she says. "The beliefs I was raised with – to respect animals and to be aware of nature, to understand that we share this planet with other creatures – have had a huge impact on me."

Check out one of the biggest trends as spotted in her recent collection.

It's no secret that polka dots are to be a big trend this coming season - they were big stories on the catwalk at Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and David Koma to name just a few - but one designer already appears to have cornered the market.

A host of A-listers have been seen wearing variations on the theme from Stella McCartney's fall collection.

The slinky black dresses, with their sheer, spotted cut-out sections, have proved a huge hit with Liv Tyler, who wore a peplum-waisted number for a New York party in May, and Kate Winslet who chose a daring thigh-baring style for the Mildred Pierce premiere.

Jane Fonda, Blake Lively and Emma Stone have all worn the polka dot designs for recent photoshoots in Harper's Bazaar, Glamour and Elle respectively, and supermodel Natalia Vodianova is seen in yet another take on the dress in the label's fall/winter campaign.

Ms McCartney's sheer white paillette-spotted dresses have also been popular. True Blood's Anna Paquin - who usually favours Alexander McQueen for special occasions, wore one such frock to appear at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills, while former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole wore a thigh-skimming play on the look for her 28th birthday party in London.

Designer name: Antonio Berardi

Origin: Italy/UK

Design background: Antonio studied at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London while at the same time working as John Galliano’s assistant. The collection he created in his final year as a student, 1994, created a professional-sized splash, attracting the attention of London buyers, including Liberty and A La Mode. Berardi launched his first professional collection the next season.

Design signatures: “Baroque’n’Roll - being British and of Sicilian parentage I tend to do what I know best. Hard-tailoring, body-conscious and highly decorated, with a traditional twist.”

Career highlight: “Yet to come.”

How would you describe the Antonio Berardi woman? “A woman who is aware of her sexuality, sensuality, and who appreciates the meticulous nature of what I do.”

Eva Longoria braved the rain-soaked Manhattan streets wearing white for her guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ to promote the last series of ‘Desperate Housewives’ earlier today.

She arrived wearing an Antonio Berardi zip-detail dress.

This is the fifth Berardi dress we’ve seen worn by a celebrity this week.

They seem to love his shapely sophisticated dresses which beautifully embody womanly glamour.

Stella McCartney’s Octavia dress dubbed ‘The Miracle Dress‘ by the press has got the fashion world in a frenzy! The $4,000 dress is designed to give you a supermodel figure, but at that price you need to be one to afford one. From tall svelte figures to shorter, curvier figures the dress suits everyone but the price tag doesn’t.

Ivory crepe bust forms cut-in shoulder straps and high, round neckline. Cream bodice and skirt; formfitting from hip to hem. Black crepe back with hidden zip and vent. Hem hits just past the knee. When Kate Winslet took to the red carpet earlier this month at the Venice Film Festival in a sporty but sexy dress, jaws dropped over her va-va-voom curves. The figure-flattering number­ — one of the “optical illusion” dresses from the designer’s fall collection — focuses the eye with a contoured front panel while its black sides seem to disappear, creating a deceptively smaller waistline.

Winslet isn’t the only A-lister to have noted the dress’ cunning trickery.

Celebrities such as La La Anthony and Gloria Estefan have both rocked the sexy dress, while “The X Factor” judge Nicole Scherzinger graced the cover of InStyle UK in the shaded wonder. Liv Tyler wore an electric cobalt-and-black version earlier this year.
